I am easy with routes and times I just want to experiance the areas. I cuurently live and work in Shanghai and have an apartment here (maybe a useful base to start from?). I also speak Chinese. Hi, I'm looking to do exactly the same route: Tibet, Xinjiang, Mongolia and then back to Europe (I'm based in Italy) with the transiberian train.

This is probably too late, as I am planning to do this sometime next year (2010, after the winter) but if anybody wants to share the journey, or some part of it get in touch: maureen cassera [at] yahoo.co.uk

I love adventurous travel, but not so fun to do it alone. I'm learning some Tibetan for this journey, would be great to share the journey with somebody who can speak some Chinese.
