guest19871 My cultural guide says that women cannot wear sandals or open toed shoes. Is this true?

In the feudal Chinese society, that was true. Now, women can wear flip-flops on the streets. Fashionable girls even wear backless T-shirts in the hot summer.

Whoever told you that hasn't lived in China recently.

And if you are 'into shoes' you'll think you're in heaven. Bring a little extra shopping money.

This seasons fashions are the best yet. Something for everyone especially open toes and cute beach style sandals and if you like and can wear patent leather ................I say no more.
