| An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale today hit the Sichuan Province, where an 8.0 magnitude quake (Wenchuan earthquake) last year killed over 80,000 people, according to China National Seismological Network. The quake occurs at 02:03 of June 30. The epicenter lies in Mianzhu City, north of Sichuan Province. About 9,000 houses and parts of the local roads were damaged in the quake. The shock was strongly felt in Chengdu, (capital of Sichuan Province), Chongqing, Hanzhong, Baoji and Xian.8 injuries have been reported. |

| Hi Leopold, I just checked this website for details http://earthquake.usgs.gov/ Good source of scientific information and they say it happened about 3.22 I didn't notice it here in Chongqing. I was on the 8th story of a building at the time. Hope there are very few casualties this time. |
