The highest-ranking student in the Art subject of the national college entrance examination was reported to have falsified his nationality in order to get bonus point.

He Chuanxiang, whose father is the Head of the Student Admission Office of Wushan Countyr, ranked the top in the College Entrance Examination in Chongqing jurisdiction. The result of the College Entrance Exam was released on June 27. He Chuanxiang got 659 points. Later, Chongqing meida reported that He has falsified his nationality to get the bonus points.( He Chuangxiang was Han nationality while he filled a minority( Tujia Nationality) in his registration form of the national entrance exam. According to China’s preferential policy to its 55 minorities, testees from the 55 minorities will be given 20 bonus points in the National College Entrance Examination. He Chuanxiang has signed an application form for the Chinese prestigious Peking University. He Chuanxiang and his father (He Daye) insisted that he didn’t intend to falsify the nationality.

His father said his son lived with his sister( He Chuanxiang’s aunt), and she changed his son’s Han nationality to Tujia minority. He admited the fault and appologied to the public in Chongqing. He said that he was willing to accept any punishment from the relevant organization.
There is no news yet about if He Chuanxiang will be deprived of the eligibility for enrollment.

The Chongqing Municipal Security Bureau and Civil Affairs Bureau probed into the false nationality incident. Other 30 students were also found having false nationality. The bonus points have been deducted from their existing scores.

The class advisor of He Chuanxiang got exicted after hearing the news that He ranked the first in the college entrance exam.

I have just read the news that Peking University will not enroll this guy. The Ministry of Education of P.R.C is requiring the higher education institutions to review the documents of all the testees.

An earlier report said universities in Hong Kong had made a call to him. He would be likely to be admitted to an university in Hong Kong.

GUEST2689 It was not the first time that cheating for bonus points occurred in Wushang Couty of Chongqing. Last year, Beijing University admitted 24 art students from Chongqing, among which 17 students got bonus points. Consequently, the No.1 student of Wushan County in the exam failed to be enrolled by Peking University.

i heard almost half of students in Beijing and Tzing Hua unversities have high-ranked parents, how many underlying 'bonus' points do they have to step over the treshhold?

The more funny thing happens overseas. Students with different academic ranks could never attend the schools where their registration record and whole package of scores unbelieblely exist. Also, can you imagine 4 year programm can be finished in 2 years and 2 year training programme finished in a couple of month for an medium IQ guy/gay? Education is becoming more and more commercial for those overseas Chinese students who seek to paint gold on them in no efforts or less efforts...

GUESTYIYI The 31 students with fake minority nationality will be deprived of admission qualification this year, said the Chongqing Office of Student Admission yesterday. Because most of the 31 testees are underages, their names were not released.

MARRIE, the overseas univeristies are no longer good places for study. The enrollment standard is: Money matters than your academic performances. The principals of overseas univerisities must say: welcome students who are from rich Chinese families. The universities in UK are the most commercialized. They don't provide any scholarship for Chinese students and they just welcome students from rich families.
