I am looking for information regarding teaching in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, at the moment i am a UK resident about to embark on a degree, but am wondering, can you teach in China without a degree?

Once you are a native speaker, the degree seems not so important

You can first try to contact some school or trainong center, once they can give you the Visa , you can come and enjoy the life in China
