One way ticket?

I have a multi-entry tourist Visa, and have been in China before.

This time however, I am uncertain about how long I shall stay and I might take a job (although I don't have one lined up as yet).

My question is, can I enter the nation of China on a one-way ticket without a firm departure date?

The Chinese immigration generally don't care. It's the airlines who're picky about this, as they would have to bear the cost of sending you back to where you came from, if for some reason you're refused entry to China.

I've entered three or four times on one-way tickets and never been questioned. On a tourist visa one time only. all the others have been Z working visa or Residency Permit

You shouldn't have a problem. You could be leaving overland not flying...............
