Air Quality in March and April

guest17180 We plan to take a China trip including Beijing, Yangtse River and Shanghai and are expecting to do this at the end or March or sometime in April. We want to avoid the hot weather if at all possible. Would we expect better air quality in late March or sometime in April?

I don't think there's any major difference in Shanghai.
