Come to YID – Yunnan Institute of Development – the only volunteer training organization in China. Our Development Instructor program is perfect for people who want to:

want to know more about the living conditions of Chinese people
want to know more about NGO’s and NPO’s in China
are interested in learning about development
are interested in participating in development
are interested in improving the living conditions of those living in poverty
want to do good things for other people

All of our training courses are taught in English, so YID also makes the ideal environment for people who want to improve their English communication skills.

Our volunteers work with
projects that improve the lives of Minority Children
projects that improve the lives of Children of Migrant workers
HIV/AIDS awareness and outreach projects
projects that improve the family economy of farmers
malaria awareness and outreach projects
Sichuan earthquake relief projects

The Development Instructor program is 11 months, and includes training, work at a development project, and evaluation. Teams will start in September and November of 2009
