![]() | You need to have certified copies of your divorce papers (certified by your city and province). You then need to apply for the marriageability certificate through the Chinese Embassy in Canada. They will send your cerified copy back with a certificate affixed to the back of your divorce certificate. You will need your divorce papers translated into Chinese for when you come to China. You'll need to go to the government office in the city where your fiancee has her hukou (residency paper). She will need her papers, too. I would advise emailing her all of the papers needing translation and having them translated in China. Go to the Chinese Embassy website for Canada, and to the Canadian website for China. They probably have a bunch of info that spells it out. If not, go to the U.S. embassy website for Canada, they have most of the info there. Good luck! |
