 | Hi, everybody. Can anybody give an answer to my question? My contract is 1 September 2009 to 30 June 2010, my foreign passport expires on 28 May 2010. How can I exchange it for a new one in China? What can be done to my visa? I'm just mixed up. I know that I can ask for my passport exchange at the nearest consulate, but what about my visa? |

| Have you already got your work visa? The work visa can only be valid until May 28, 2010, though your contract finishes on June 30, 2010. After you get your new passport, you need to transfer your China work visa (residence permit) to your new passport within 10 days.  |

| GUEST45206 | One more question about work in China. I wanna go to Russia for october holidays. My Z visa allows me to go to Russia but not to come back, my employers are going to make a document (I do not know to call it, some certificate) in a police. Other teachers told me that having your foreign passport, and that certificate (it's a blue book, looks like a kind of passport) allows you to go to Russia and then to come back. Is that so? |

| Last post: In reality you cannot travel out of China until you have a Temporary Residence Permit in place of the Z visa (which is only valid for 30 days) |

| GUESTJULIE | Hi, everybody. How important is Foreign Expert's Certificate? I work as a teacher at the University, all other foreigners who work here have this blue book, I don't. When I begin speaking about it my employers say nothing about it. When I passed through the Customs I was asked about my sphere of work and why I don't have this so called blue book. Whas does it give right for? |

| when a foreigner got Z visa in china and the government will give you working permit or foreign expert`s certificate,them can be kept in your company or by yourself ,it is important that if you quit form the company you have to take a release letter (离职证明）and working permit or foreign expert`s certificate.this documents is useful for Z visa extension |

| I think so .F visa extension for six months just costs 1700 plus government fee,it is quite cheap and F visa extension for for Indian Philipine and African are also available now |
