Hi,
I am travelling to Hong Kong in October, and would like to travel to Shenzhen. I understand, that since the games protocol for acquiring a visa has changed. Would someone be able to confirm/deny, that a visa from Hong Kong to Shenzhen is now, NOT, obtainable at the border crossing, and has to come directly from the Chinese Embassy.
Many thanks,

GUEST1289 What is the nationality of your passport? As China is preparing for the military parade in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of PRC, I think the current visa policy is tight. You'd better apply for a China visa in your home country prior to your departure.

GUEST1289 NZ citizen. Previously, I assume you can also handle your visa application for a mainland China visa(instead of a Special Economic Zone Visa) in the Commissinoer's Office of China's Foreign Ministry in Hong Kong SAR. Right now, it is not easy to get a China visa outside your home country. I strongly advise you to get your visa approved in NZ ahead of your trip. You can check out the site of China's visa offices in Hong Kong. http://www.fmcoprc.gov.hk/eng/zgqz/bgfwxx/
