 | Hi, I am travelling to Hong Kong in October, and would like to travel to Shenzhen. I understand, that since the games protocol for acquiring a visa has changed. Would someone be able to confirm/deny, that a visa from Hong Kong to Shenzhen is now, NOT, obtainable at the border crossing, and has to come directly from the Chinese Embassy. Many thanks, |

| GUEST1289 | What is the nationality of your passport? As China is preparing for the military parade in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of PRC, I think the current visa policy is tight. You'd better apply for a China visa in your home country prior to your departure. |

| GUEST1289 | NZ citizen. Previously, I assume you can also handle your visa application for a mainland China visa(instead of a Special Economic Zone Visa) in the Commissinoer's Office of China's Foreign Ministry in Hong Kong SAR. Right now, it is not easy to get a China visa outside your home country. I strongly advise you to get your visa approved in NZ ahead of your trip.
