| My wife and I will be visiting Shanghai in January 2010 for two days and two nights before boarding a cruise ship. We are in our early 60s and in good health. What do you suggest that we see and do in the limited time that we have? Is there a night market? How about "must see" sights? As far as hotel - we like "nice" but not extravagant. What is the best location for us to stay in, and can you recommend specific hotels. |

| There's a wealth of general sightseeing information readily available both in print and online, I've provided some URLs to start you off. If you want more specific recommendations it would be wise to provide more information about your own sightseeing interests and preferences. http://members.virtualtourist.com/ http://www.frommers.com/ http://www.lonelyplanet.com/ http://www.roughguides.com/ http://www.timeout.com/ http://travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/shanghai.htm Unfortunately Shanghai isn't really renowned for night markets. For accommodation, what price range are you looking for? If you have any more queries, please email directly to yahoo.com|ellyse99 and put "TravelChinaGuide" and your own username (eg JGBernards) in the subject line. |
