Working in Shenzhen???

Please,I am from Christchurch New Zealand desperate for information about living costs in Shenzhen.I have been offered a one year contract teaching,free accommodation etc etc,is 5000RMB/Month enough to live on excluding housing costs?Any information on Shenzhen would be much valued..Rebecca. hotmail.com|angelzeye45

I'm not in Shenzhen, but many of my friends work there and told me the living expenses is much higher than the inland cities. Even so I think 5000yuan per month is definitely enough for your shopping, dining, short trips,etc.

I'm living in Jimei, Xiamen about 6 meses, and YES, you can live with 5.000 yuan/month. Acttualy if you are alone, you can live with 2.000 yuan, including housing costs.
