The poll was sponsored by 20th Century Fox to observe the launch of DVD version of TV series Lie to Me. The findings also pointed that the liars often try their best to hide the truth, while 83% of respondents said they could easily identify if their parter is lying. If someone is covering the truth, they would avoid eye contact and hide their face. The most common lie told by both sexes is” Nothing’s wrong, I am fine”. It might be true that men tell more lies than women. This reminds me of a woman’s monologue from a Chinese movie: “I would rather believe the real existence of ghost in the world than the words from men’s stinky mouths”. GUEST05249	The No3 in the list: " No, your bum doesn't look big in that". Men are forced to tell this kind of "white lie" to their partners. Women wants to receive positive comments on the dress that they buy. If a man tell the truth, her partner is unhappy and she is at the risk of getting pinched.
