i will be travelling to ghuanzou china from hong kong in march 2009 i wanted to get spectacles for my optical business. including accesories do i need to hire a interputer or middle man to help me locate this stuff or will it ba easy as going to the market i need bulk specs also some store furnishings (e.g. cases eyeglass holders)

spectacles markets are very easy to find in Guangzhou. The spectacles markets centralize on the places near the shangxiajiu pedestrian street. Sorry, i don't know the store furnishings markets. of course, with a interputer or middle man, you work will be easier.

GUEST14292 If you do not speak Cantonese or Mandarin, you will find Guangzhou tough. I needed an interpreter just to shop for a personal laptop at the computer markets. I was completely ignored the first time I went without one.

That is just my experience. Others may not feel the language barrier pain the way I do :-)
