What is the best way to catch 13.25 flight from HKIA, while we r still in GZ?

CHING_CHING Points: Join Date: Oct 1, 2009 Status: offline	My flight to TPE from HKIA would be on Oct 19 at 13.25, while during Oct 15-19 I will be in GZ for Canton Fair. Which would be better: a. leave GZ on Oct 18 for HK and ready for the flight on Oct 19; b. take coach/bus from GZ to HKIA (i have a bad experience with CTS on my last trip Sept 21 - it took almost 5 hrs to get to HKIA ) Pls kindly advise. Many thanks.

If you'd like to maximise your time in Guangzhou then you could leave for Hong Kong on 19/10 morning. But yes, it could take anything from 3.5 to 5 hours.
You might also like to consider taking a train for Guangzhou East -- Hong Kong, then the MTR and Airport Express to get to the airport. This might be more expensive, but relatively fast and convenient. The earliest train is T801 (0819--1012). From where the train leaves you (Hung Hom station in Kowloon) you'll need to take MTR to Nam Cheong (9 mins, 5 HKD) then change to Airport Express.(within 25 mins) to the airport. Look on http://www.mtr.com.hk/jplanner/images/maps/routemap.pdf if you need a route map of the MTR system in Hong Kong.

ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	Alternatively the A21 bus (http://www.nwstbus.com.hk/routes/routeinfo.aspx?intLangID=1&searchtype=1&daytime=3&route=A21&routetype=D&company=5) goes from Hung Hom train station to Hong Kong airport in about 75 mins.
