guest11817 Hi, so i am applying for my Chinese Visa Tuesday and i was wondering... Do they require an American to provide an address to be staying at? Because i am going to be traveling around i will be staying with many hostels and such and then perhaps find a place... But as of the moment i dont have a specific place i am gonna stay.. Will this be an issue?

Supplying the City name is usually enough. If you know the hotel name and address, this would most certainly be enough.

GUEST11817 Thanks a lot! Yeah, after reviewing the application form I noticed there wasn't anything on there that asked for my address there.... Which is good! Thanks a lot for your help!
