| Very slim I would think, but that depends on the type of teaching job you would accept. Better jobs need better qualifications. Officially you need a degree to get a visa. Usually you need a TEFL or equivalent and some teaching experience. Jobs are available for unqualified people but are a little risky for the unwary. Too many promises and not enough action. You could find yourserlf in China sans Z visa and return ticket. Have you lived away from home before? Do you know what living conditions are like in China? I think it would be better to consider this after you have a university degree. |

| Gaffer’s advice is very sound Young Guest; however, there are plenty of students in Beijing teaching English and not all of them native speakers either. They stay in hostels and use the money earned, if any as a sort of off shore extended schoolies week. Just make sure that Mum and Dad are happy to top up your ATM card though before you leave. Dodger. |
