 | No wonder some of these organisations are still looking for teachers, the pay being offered is disgraceful, no higher than when I first started teaching in China 4 years ago. There has been considerable inflation over the klast 4 years, at least 15% probably nearer 20%. Eg: Location: Kunming, Yunan provinceSalary: RMB3300-4500/month. No teacher should be accepting anything under 5000rmb a month now... Then there is the job teaching IT in English. Teaching subjects other than language normally command at least 10,000 rmb. Some organisations need to go to classes themselves to understand the concepts of supply and demand. |

| GUEST72162 | The salary is provided by the school and schools in different places has different salary standard. If teachers think the salary does not meet their needs, they can negotiate with the school if they wish to teach there. And, they can look for other teaching jobs as well. |
