Hi everyone,

Some of you know that I am taking an escorted tour this summer to various cities in China. I am so excited I can hardly contain myself. It has been a life long desire to visit that great country. I have been hearing a lot about the Asian bird flu. Is this some thing I need to be concerned about?

Thanks for all replies.

I just travelled through Vietnam and China and never had to worry about it, although in immagration they do ask you alot of funny questions in regards to your daily temperature. But should'nt worry about it.

Hi Sporty,

Oh, in Vietnam they announced two new bird flu infections today. But don? worry about that.
Chances are like getting hit by lightning or winning the Jackpot in lottery (but someone always wins it, right;-)
Western media always makes a hype about everything.
I was always lucky in choosing the wrong travel time:
Spring 2003 SARS outbreak
Spring 2004 Bird flu
At home everybody was scared, but we managed to get out without any problems.

Last time my doc said I should get a flu vaccination. I asked him if it would help against bird flu? He answered of course not, but if I get it the bird flu virus can not mix with the human flu virus.....so I would be dead but there would be no pandemic because of me;-)

Maybe you think too much!
