Hello together, can someone help me, I want to go from Kunming to Hanoi by train, is this possible and I get a visa for Vietnam at the border with Vietnam, Lao Cai? Many thanks in advance..Kurt

There is no passenger train from Kunming to Hanoi. But you can take a bus from Kunming to Hekou then cross the border to Lao Cai and catch a shuttle bus to Sapa, if you have enough time. It takes about 9 hours from Lao Cai to Hanoi by overnight train.
