![]() | I have been sending a text message to China every day for the past year from UK. This week for some reason the messages are not getting through, I have 2 sim cards and 4 phones, I have tried every combination but for some reason nothing. The UK network is O2 and the China phone receiving is China mobile, everything was fine until this week, does anyone know of any changes that could cause this problem?? |

![]() | I am not using a phone card, I am using regular mobile phone. It has monthly contract so no, it wont run out of money. I checked with O2 and they confirm the messages are leaving UK (of course they will always say that) |

![]() | Dave, I can't answer your question but have you tried using VoipCheap or Voipraider on your PC? Both allow sms to be sent for 4.3p (but not received). You can make calls to China free from your pc with Voipraider or from a cell phone using a UK local access number. (Just the cost of the UK cell phone call). www.voipraider.com www.voipcheap.co.uk Both allow free PC to landline calls in the UK and many other destinations. |

![]() | Well... I think a regular mobole phone has a phone card with it, even with O2... If there's anything wrong with the phone itself, the first thing we usually do is to reset the phone system. You will find it in "setting". Most of the time we will make it. But all the ex-settings will be changed back to original. Anyway, at least the after-sell service center in China always do that. I guess you could try it... |

![]() | Dave, you can use Fetion software to send text messages. Just download it from www.fetion.com.cn. Remeber that there are two kinds of fetion sofwares: one is for smart cellphone and the other is for computer. If you have a smartphone, I suggest you install this software. As you can see, it is more convenient to take a cellphone rather than a laptop or computer. Fetion software can save you a lot of money. I don't know how much money you pay for each text message but I am sure that you can save a lot of mony if you use Fetion software. You just need to register an account with your cellphone number. I forgot whether if you have to pay 5 yuan service fee each month. I needn't pay the service fee. China Mobile once struck off the service fee in order to increase fetion users. I registered my account during that time. Currently, only China Mobile users can use fetion service. However, it is said that other cellphone users also can use fetion service in the coming two months. |

![]() | Damn it! I forgot that Fetion sofware was in Chinese only. I am sorry, Dave. Better learn some Chinese if you want to use that software. |

There are English version of QQ. You can use QQ to chat with your ''half" online. And you can have voice and video conversation with her as long as you get a webcam and a microphone. Of course, you can install QQ on your smartphone. It is very convenient. |
