I'm extending my visa today, and these are the documents required:

1. Residence form (from hotel or apartment) - this also has to be on their computer system
2. Deposit of $3000USD in a Chinese bank account under your name
3. Visa application form and photo

That's the latest I know. Hopefully they'll change the rules again so you DON'T need to deposit all that money in a Chinese bank...

I'll have an L visa for 30 more days, and I'm working for a company here who can do an F visa for me. What will happen if I want to change my L to a 6 month F visa? I'm pretty sure the company can do it for me, but how much will it cost and will I need to leave China to do it?
