I'll be on a 8-day tour from 13 Dec 2009 from KL/Shanghai/Hangzhou/Hengdian/Yiwu/Dongyang/Suzhou/Nanjing/Wuxi/Shanghai/KL. I wud like to visit Huangshan since it's not covered in the tour.

Please advise how and best way to go Huangshan - by bus or train?
Where to take transport and how much? What about time of bus/train?

Also is it too cold in Huangshan since it is winter?

Appreciate early reply from you.

GUEST12257 Hello, I have gone by bus from Hangzhou, took about 6 hours. But there is also a train connection, but that doesn't get you to the mountain but you will need another hour to reach the mountain itself. It will probably be difficult to fit it into your tour, as you will need a couple of days. You may be able to take an overnight train, spend the day on the mountain, and then go back the same evening.
It is a lovely trip though so it may be worth the hassle.

Will you be going there from Shanghai? If so, you could take a bus (around 6 hours) or the overnight sleeper train (around 15 hours).
Yes, it would be cold there!
