What is the best visa for me
Nov 3, 2009 14:58
guest88222 Hello,

A slightly complex case.

My other half (who is Danish) lives and works in China - he has a work permit.

I'm also Danish, and used to work in China under a work permit too but left to continue my studies.

I now want to go back to China to live with my boyfriend and get a job there, but currently don't have a job and am planning to find one when I get out there.

Whats the best visa solution for me as I don't really want to have to go on a tourist visa and keep leaving the country? Also, is there a "spouse" visa?

Thank you

There is no spouse visa as such but tourist visas with moree generous conditions may be granted. I am not sure bf/gf tatus would qulaify for it. Also, if you state you want to get a job when in China, you will probably not b granted a tourist visa as a condition is that you do not seek work.

Botoom line, get any viisa to get to China, then find the job and get an appropriate visa.

Hi,

On L visa or F visa which issued abroad, the foreigner needs to keep leaving the country for a period of time. But the F visa which issue in China,no need to leave the country.
If you can not find job in China and want to stay longer in China, F visa is suit for your condition.
But do the F visa need the BUSINESS INVITATION LETTER.
Take the letter abroad to apply the F visa; Then back China on F visa, before the leaving date, do the F visa extension,6 months or 12 months, thus you can stay in China for whole 6 months or 12 months without leaving.

Am a visa agent in Beijing, any more question, pls contact me.

Hey

I think you can apply for a F visa,it's better for you ,and when you come to china, you can extend your L visa for 6 months,or when you find a job ,you can apply for a Z visa ,it's valid for 1year!

Good luck!
