Traveling to China with a diamond ring

I am traveling to China in early December with my girlfriend and I plan to ask her to marry me there. I have heard that there is problems transporting diamonds into China. Do you have any information about me transporting the diamond ring in my bag or carry-on? Thanks

GUEST79205 you must have with you a very large diamond ring to China that make you worry. If the cost is less than USD10,000 I don't think you need to worry
