Hello there- I'm moving to Shanghai next week, and I was wondering how mobile phones work out there- would my iphone work? Or do I have to get one there?

Hey Robzilla,

Can you tell me more about your own i-phone? Did you sign an agreement with the telecom operator when you bought it? If so, I guess that you can't use it in China. You know, signing an agreement with the telecom operator means that you can only use their service and usually these cellphones are locked. If you buy a free one, I think that you can use it in China. However, I guess that you can only choose China Unicom's service.
