I'm going to be doing a language program this summer in Beijing, and I plan to travel around for 4-5 weeks before the program starts to see a bit of China and hopefully do some job-hunting. I plan to start in Hong Kong in early May and work my way north to Beijing by mid-June. Any travel suggestions for the route between those two cities? Also, does anyone have any tips for solo travel through China?
