I will buy a vehicle here next year but will definately need a carnet for it. I have asked many people here in Beijing, posted this issue on the ThornTree Lonely Planet. ....... I have also contacted the Beijing traffic management bureau(BTMB) and The Department of Customs and Excise. No one has been able to help. Surely people drive across borders all the time and therefore have a Carnet for their vehicle............. Help please anyone.............cheers Andy
