Chinese Entry Requirement when staying at a private home

I am going to Shenyang, China for Spring Festival in Feb to visit my Wife and family. This will be my first time going to China and want to make sure I follow all applicable Chinese law. Is there any requirement to that I need to follow since I am not staying at a hotel?
