GUESTBASU	Hi Can anyone help me with my EMS item EE291506069CN? I have purchased a mobile and it is being shipped from China to India. Seller says that my item is 'shipped out' on the 17th of July and it was blocked by customs in China. Is it true that customs will block the items in China itslef...normally the Indian customs might stop it after item has reach India here? On EMS website all i get still is 'No tracking information for the shipment, or overdue tracking.' The seller says that I can only track my item once it is realeased from customs and for releasing from customs he says that I need to pay customs duty tariff. I'm starting to fear i've been scammed and whether the seller is saying really truth and my item is really blocked in China. The tracking number is EE291506069CN Thank you in advance!

GUEST5789	GUESTBASU, Even your cellphone was blocked at the custom, you could have tracked it on EMS website. The seller told you that your mobile phone was shipped out, then you can ask him to show you the receipt. If he refused, you have a great chance to be cheated. Usually, the EMS will give you receipt when you send out your package.

GUEST32461	I ordered something a August 10, 2012 - paid by PayPal and received confirmation and tracking number. Tracking number says, "it has been dispatched from Shanghai". Just curious, Has anyone received their package(s) from EMS? or everyone gets ripped off?

Many Chinese sellers use EMS. It seems that you haven't been ripped off because your package can be tracked at least. Many customers got fake tracking number and can not track their goods.

However, you have to keep alert if the seller tells you your good has been stopped by the customs. This means that they ask you to wire money because you need to pay tax.
