There are direct buses from HKIA to Foshan. I am told that some buses just stop at Foshan Crown Plaza Hotel. You can go to Counter C10, C14 and C11 at the coach station of T2 at HKIA and ask about the details.

You can take a bus from Hong Kong Airport to Foshan directly. http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hongkong/transportation/airport-transfer.htm But I'm not sure the bus schedule. You may confirm it in advance by the phone listed on the page.
If there is no bus from 0800 to 0900 and you don't want to wait, you can take the airport shuttle A43 (http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hongkong/transportation/air-bus.htm ) to Sheung Shui, then change to Hong Kong MTR to Luohu. Pass the border and then go to the nearby Luohu Bus station to take a bus to Foshan.

GUEST90123	I have to travel to Foshan from HK. Does the Hongkong-Foshan train have a stop closer to Crowne Plaza Foshan? Which hotel would you all recommend in Foshan? Crowne plaza or Intercontinental- which is close to the station?

It just stops at Foshan Railway Station. The station is close to Crown Plaza. Taxi fare: around CNY 13 (3.3 kilometers). Intercontinental: taxi fare is around CNY 20 (8.6 kilometers).
