From Chengdu to Lijiang

First Draft: a 13 - 17 days trip.
Eager for silence and astonish spots. Open to suggestions.

Chengdu - (Xichang or Panzhihua) - Lijiang - (Kunming) - Yangshuo - (Gulin) - Shangai

1.Wich is the best option to go from Chengdu to Lijiang in your opinion?
2.Wich one is the fastest route?
3. If you had to choose from Xichang and Pazhinhua to stay one night, wich one would you pick? Would you pick one?
4. Does Chengdu worth the effort? And Luku Hu? Does Dafo Le shan incredible? or is more a turist-like place?
5. To stay -> Guilin or Yangshuo?

I thought about:

a) Going from Chengdu to Xichang by train, and from there to take a bus to Lijiang passing through Lugu Hu
b) Going from Chengdu to Pazhinhua by train, and from there by bus to Lijiang

6. Too many questions? lol

1) Fly if you can afford it.
2) Flight, definitely.
3) Neither, perhaps.
4) Chengdu is definitely worth visiting. Can't comment about the other 2 as I haven't been to either.
5) Definitely Yangshuo.
