Guilin to Fenghuang options

guest52074 I read that it's better to train from Guilin to Huaihua but it's a day train and arriving at midnight.

Is there any other options ?

Well, it depends on what you mean by "better". It's at least perhaps the most direct method.

I did the same route but didnt get the train from Guilin as it travels south before swinging up to Huaihua. I went to Ping'an for the day and caught the train at Sanjiang, and thats a fun experience.
Sure it arrives few minutes after midnight but as you exit the station there are numerous hotels no more than 10 metres away, I stayed in the second one, cant remember the name. It was comfortable and convenient.
