Fly to Nanning, then catch the daily bus or train to Hanoi. If you want to spend a full 3 days in Hanoi, or at least most of those 3 days, you'll have to leave Liaoning province on 30/4 if not earlier.
If you're unsuccessful getting a ticket for either of those two direct options, you'll have to get a train to Pingxiang (and then perhaps another taxi to the border), cross the border on foot and then catch another taxi to Lang Son long-distance bus station in Vietnam, from where you could get a long-distance bus to Hanoi. Of course if you're not on a tight budget you could also catch a taxi from the Vietnam side of the border directly to Hanoi.
The border crossing is called the Friendship Pass.
