Buying a down vest in Shanghai

Shanghai is the last stop on a fifteen day tour and I don't want to lug the vest all over China if I bought it during my first stop in Beijing. I will only get the vest if it is really a good value. Only problem is that I am a large man and wear U.S. size extra large. Additionally, are leather gloves a good buy in China? I would like several pairs of lightweight leather driving gloves.
