Need Haikou Ground Advice

 I am going to Haikou this 31/3. Can anyone tell me about the ground and hotel. Since that it is a Ching Ming month, is it ok if I book hotel there and then? About 12 of us.

12 people traveling??!! You need to do some research and make some reservations! What sort of accommodations are you looking for? The Meritus has the best location in Haikou but is pricey. Banana hostel is inexpensive but has a poor location...

there are plenty of good and cheap hotels around the old clock tower area, this being a old part of haikou there are lots of street shopping and good seafood food

I will be going to {Haikou,http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hainan/haikou/} this coming CNY, please enlighten me as to which hotels there are good and affordable (RMB 200 to 300)?

Also, any place of interest with beautiful scenary and not forgetting nice seafood as well as local dishes?

The hotel prices in Hannan during [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/essential/holidays/spring-festival.htm]Chinese New Year[/tcgurl] will be very expensive. The local government has interfered in the prices. It is said that the average hotel price in {Sanya,http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hainan/sanya/} will be less than 6600 RMB per day from Feb. 2 to 8. In Haikou, the average price is less than 1000 RMB.
