Re-entry rules for Visa ?

It seems I will need to leave my new Chinese wife in China and leave the country sometime within the next 4 to 12 weeks ( back at PSB tomorrow ), however, I am in a dilemna as to how long I must leave for before I can return ?
Anybody help me out please? I am UK citizen and inside China since Dec 1st last year.
