I am visiting my daughter in Xiaoshan in April. I want to make my way from Shanghai's PuDong airport to Xiaoshan on my own. What is the best method of travel? I do speak some Chinese (Mandarin) so that should help me. Thank you for any help.

do you mean Xiaoshao in Zhejiang province? if yes, then take a shuttle coach from Pudong airport to Hangzhou city first, then change to a bus to xiaoshao from hangzhou.

"Best" is subjective.
What time will you arrive at Pudong airport?
I presume you're travelling alone (please correct if otherwise), how much luggage would you have?
Is cost, convenience/accessibility or speed more crucial to you? (Sorry, "all 3" isn't an acceptable answer!)
