Thanks for all the info, I think I need to consider my options:

1) Start a business in China (I think this will be expensive and difficult)

2) Apply for and keep renewing a tourist visa (length of stay is very short for each visit I think)

3) Apply for a student visa (although I could not commit to attending as I would still need to work each day)

4) Persuade my company to help me get a Z visa (they do have an office in China, but my work is not related to the work there)

I think the length of stay for each visit on the F visa is very short?
Can I renew the F visa each year from within China or would I need to come out of the country each time?

Would I be able to convert an F visa into a Z visa?

you should provide these documents below:
1.two years working experience certificate
2.BA degree
3residence permit
4.medical test
5.CV in English and Chinese
6.Four 2-inch photos with white background
7.passport
and the company which you are working in is willing to provide some documents.if that the price will be low
if you only have medical test and passport,it also can be done but the price is a little bit expencive
the process needs 25 working days

How do I obtain a two years working experience certificate - and does that need to be with the company that I am applying with?

Thanks.

two years working experience certificat is a letter from a company you worked in before ,this company can prove you have worked there for two years and should be from UK or other country not China
