VBEATSO Points: Join Date: Mar 9, 2005 Status: offline	I am getting married on a budget and my uncle goes back and forth from Hong Kong regularly I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the wedding dress market there. Can I give him pictures, drawings, explanations of the dress I want and my measurements and have him take it to a dress manufacturer to make it. Or can I buy one I like (and somehow see it online or something) from a dress manufacturer for a good deal? Please if you have any information about the wedding dress market in Hong Kong or how/if this can be done, please let me know. Thankyou very much!

The largest concentration of such shops is on Sai Yee Street, where at least a dozen businesses are located, most between Prince Edward Road West and Bute Street.

I will definitely check out the websites you mentioned, do you know if one shop is better (more trustworthy, quality, helpful, friendly, better with custom jobs, able to take measurements only w/out try on) than the next or are they close to the same? Can you recommend a specific shop? Sounds like a lot of choices.

And do most dress shops carry quality silks, satins and lace? Thank you - I don't have anyone to ask these questions to.
