coming to Qingdao next month. Any advice re: accommodation, genaeral living?

Hello, Im coming to Qingdao next month and was wondering if anyone had any advice about how to find good accommodation and which areas would be good/relatively cheap (around 2000-3000)?
Ill be working around ShiNan District > Fushan Bay Area .... Any help would be really appreciated!
