Where to stay in Beijing?

Hi Folks. I'm getting ready to go to China for a little over 2 weeks. We are going to allocate 4-5 days to Beijing. What districts should we stay in, we want to see as much of the historical stuff as possible, and maybe get some shopping done!

Any hotel recommendations?

Hi
I hear the Wangfujing shopping district is a good place to stay, as you can walk around in the shopping area at night and find loads of places to eat.
