![]() | On the afternoon of March 31,2010, I found almost all the websites concerning google were blocked in China, including google.com.hk, google.com, goole.co.uk.and so on. I feel depressed, for it’s really inconvenient for me to search online without Google. I formed the habit of using Google to search from the time when I was a university student. Majoring in Interpreting and Translation, I use Google to look up the meaning of the newest words to do translation. |

![]() | Google really helps me a lot not only in my translating practice but also brings me much convenience by giving proper answers to my questions. Compared with Baidu, the most popular search engine in China, Google can give more correct and relevant answers to my questions. Therefore, I use Google instead of Baidu in China to search things. My husband also has the same view. He prefers Google. Therefore, when I got the news that Google leaves China, I felt sad and thought that I couldn’t use Google any more, But later I found that I could access Google.com.hk to search. I’m so glad. |

![]() | However, Google.com and google.com.uk were blocked on March 31, The immediate influence on me is that I won’t know the results of the key words of my website. It’s really terrible. |

![]() | I think the reason is that there are only a few people knowing my website. What I need to do is to promote it and let more and more people know it, so that they can enjoy the professional interpreting service offered by our interpreters in China. I think of the searching engine: google. |

![]() | Then, I invited a seoer to make some changes to my website so that it can appear on the front pages when people search for interpreters. Also, I’m doing the Pay per Click in Google to attract more people to my website. Then, Out of my expectation, google.com.hk is blocked. It really annoys me. Also, it does harm to the promotion of my website. |

![]() | Fortunately, On April 1 , I found that I could access google.com.hk again. I’m so excited. At least, I can use google to search. I believe that many people with English education background prefer to use Google instead of Baidu. Now, I really hope that google can come back to China one day. |
