I have purchased a digital camera that requires SD memory cards, as my trip is starting off in Beijing, are there any stores that sell these memory cards and would they be cheaper in the UK.
Also does Beijing have cheap opticians where I can get prescription glasses made, as people have told me they are much cheaper than the UK (everythings expensive here).

So many Electronics market in Beijing, e.g. Dinghao, Guomei.
You can buy the memory card in these markets.

Thanks for all your help. Hope the prices are cheaper, i have looked at some chinease websites (translated into English using worldlingo.com) the prices for memory and cameras seem around the same price, even more in some cases. Is the markets much cheaper than these sites. e.g 256Mb sd memory card £42 in UK, chinease website said 1000 yuan.
