Travelling from Shanghai to Hanoi
Apr 12, 2010 04:43
guest24132 Hi I am arriving in Shanghai Pudong airport on May 16 and want to go to Hanoi.

I hear I can buy a ticket from Shanghai South station to Nanning and then another ticket from Nanning to Hanoi. Is there an English window at the shanghai South Station customer service depot. I would need to book this ticket at shanghai south station rather than shanghai station is this right?

Can I book anything over the internet beforehand as I worry tickets will be booked out if I have to wait until when I arrive.

How long would it roughly take to get a taxi from Pudong Airport to Shanghai south train station?

Many thanks

Amber

I'm not sure if I saw an English-speaking window at Shanghai South train station.
No official online ticketing system for China's train system.
It would take about 1 hour from Pudong airport to Shanghai South train station, depending on amount of traffic.
If you've any more queries, or need help pre-buying train tickets, email me at yahoo.com|ellyse99 and put "TravelChinaGuide" and your own username in the subject line.
