guest83120	Hi there I am hoping to come to China in a few months time to work and Chengdu has come into the picture in terms of my working there. Could anyone tell me what the general feel of Chengdu is such as people, supermarkets, foods, transport, travel around rest of China and English speakers on a foreign ratio basis. Also is it a safe city for someone as a first timer coming to China thank you. Thanks any info would be great

Chengdu is a great place for your first time and very user friendly for foreigners with one of the largest expat communities in the country. Relax and enjoy

ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	Chengdu is safe as most other places in China are. The usual common sense precautions apply. Your biggest usual danger might be pickpockets and the Chinese traffic!

GUESTOWOSO	I m planning to visit Chengdu next month, From http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/chengdu.htm, I find some interesting info. Good time stay there.
