Should the donation be opened to the public?

guest21131 Celebrities are fervent to donate money when there is an emergency. However, how much money they donated is often make comparisons by others, especially by those Medias.
As a popular singer, Jay Chou donated 50,000 RMB to help injured people in Yushu earthquake. Compared with the amount others donated, the money he contributed is not that much. He said that some medias have changed the nature of love, and they just distort the attention to the situation of the disaster.
Reasonable as it is, the donation numbers should not be compared on ranking list.
should voluntary act be judged this way? or by what standard do you measure it?

Some even blamed that he disrespect people who suffer from the disaster...
They can only say outside and stand aloof from things of no personal interest. To exercise an undue influence upon others but doing nothing. .
