Hi, We will be discovering Gansu province in a few weeks. The plan is to go to Tianshui first and visit Maiji Shan. From there we would like to go to Langmusi. I know these 2 places are quite far away, so that public transportation will take a long time. Another possibility is to hire a driver with the car to take us there. Does anybody know how much approximately would it cost, what is the shortest distance between the 2 places and how long time would it take by car. All recommendations on the hotel in Tianshui are also welcome! Thanks!

Erm, I can't really help with your question. But hopefully the route through Xiahe (I'm pretty sure the logical "shortest" route would pass through there) will be open by the time you go. I had a group of South-East Asian Chinese friends try to go through there early last month, and they were barred at the highway turn-off to Xiahe, could go no further south. Hope this helps somewhat!

Yes, I am aware that there were restrictions, but it seems that these have been recently dropped. And we were planning on going to Langmusi from south through Diebu. When looking at the map, it actually seems shorter way. Can you tell, how long would it take going from north otherwise?
