My wife and I are retired Canadians and we would like to teach English in China.
Are their age restrictions?
Do we have to have a degree?

Most schools/colleges require you to have some kind of degree and TEFL or equivalent. Most also like some teaching experience. There are always exceptions if you are willing to earn less and live in a less desirable location. Check out the teaching websites and beware of placement agencies.

Usually speaking, 24-60 years old foreign friends can get China working visa to teach/work in China.
For most schools, BA or above diploma degree or TEFL degree is required.
While if you'd like to teach in a small city or town in China, there is less requirements than in big cities. And you can teach on tourist or business visa if you are more than 60 and unable to get China working visa.

Any more query, contact me freely.
